I have consulted Srinath sir to get an understanding of my present ankle condition post op 10 months from a trimalleolar fracture. Sir has helped immensely in providing clear guidance on why an additional procedure could be helpful in my case adding in the missing musculoskeletal view and also rationalised clearly the differed opinions of various ankle specialists to help me make a decision on a further surgical procedure. His expertise and counseling were educative and re-assuring at the same time. The challenge was to understand my slow improvement in ankle function and post traumatic arthritis care, followed by varied and differing concerns raised by ankle surgeons reviewing my x-rays and CT. And also to check whether there are any musculoskeletal reasons for this ( which is not usually done by looking at X-rays or CT alone and usually requires an MRI which is not possible in my case due to material placed in my ankle, which further complicated prognosis). This was addressed in my consultation and my experience has been more than satisfactory.
